Award-Winning Canadian Landscape Artist Lonny Doherty believes that being connected to nature alleviates stress, promotes health and happiness and improves your quality of life.
Lonny’s landscape paintings reflect the vibrant colours and natural designs provided by the four distinct seasons in Canada. His work shows a careful balance between subtlety and exaggeration, between brisk brush strokes and sharp delineation.
Lonny Doherty is also an accredited interior designer and that training has informed his ability to translate his landscape paintings and their natural organic shapes into functional items such as pillows, fabric, umbrellas, and fashion. The brand is called Lumiscapes™ by L. Doherty.
Lonny says, “As a landscape painter, I can do a single work of art for someone to hang on their wall for their own enjoyment, but if that same painting is used in a number of mediums then that art work can be enjoyed by many, perhaps hundreds of people at once. My goal is to help people bring nature into their interior lives.”
